I enjoy books from many genres and authors, from Emily Bronte to Frank Herbert, Plato to Anne Rice. In addition, I am a pre-published author of Short Stories and Novels.
Just published my first short story for the public to read. ‘God and Guns’ is approximately 3500 words.
Synopsis: The Southern States have seceded again. Two young men have a secret, a secret that they cannot reveal to their family, that they dare not even reveal to themselves. A secret that would force them into a re-education camp if discovered…if they are lucky. Their only hope is to escape across the border to the freedom promised by the United States just a few miles away before it’s too late.
It can be read on my blog.

Too cool. Love it. Gave it to my partner who is really into Disney art, especially the wicked queens. He loves it.A must for anyone who is into Disney artwork, especially the classic animated features.
Definitely a must for every writer to help with that pesky show, don't tell. Give your characters greater depth by showing their mannerisms and letting the Reader react to the emotional clues.
The mythology of the Bible strongly influenced Tolkien's works in Middle Earth along with the mythology of other cultures. Ed Strauss has attempted to identify many of these influences in The Hobbit, although I do not always agree with his conclusions. While this devotional is good as far as it goes, I believe it is difficult to make such an analysis without addressing the intricate and masterful weaves of the many cultures created by the Father of Epic Fantasy.Ed Strauss' book is a good and interesting primer and I would recommend it from an academic standpoint.
This is one of my favorites. The prose leans toward the purple side which makes it difficult at times to get through.
